The Practice

Back Beach Physiotherapy is located in Streaky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula. The boutique practice has a fully equipped gym for clients to use during their appointments. The gym and rehab space also is open for clients to use outside of their appointments to carry out their prescribed exercise and rehabilitation programs.

Back Beach Physiotherapy provides the tools and motivating space for clients to recover in and out of formal physiotherapy sessions. Gym equipment available for clients to use includes:

  • Exercise bike

  • Treadmill

  • A range of weights of Dumbbells and Kettlebells

  • Squat Rack

  • Barbell

  • Cable Machine

  • Leg Press 

  • Foam rollers, bands, etc.

FAQs

  • Back Beach Physiotherapy is located at 25 Loveshack Route, Streaky Bay SA. The ‘home-based practice’ is located behind our home in a fully fitted out clinic. Parking is available directly in front of the clinic.

  • Although we prefer clients to attend their appointments at our practice, we understand that it is sometimes difficult for clients to access the practice due to their injury or post surgeries. We offer home visits within 20km of the Streaky Bay township. There is an additional travel charge for home visit. Home visit appointments are not available to book online. Please email info@backbeachphysio.com.au to book. Alternatively, we do offer appointments via zoom.

  • No, you do not need a referral. Please bring any reports, scans, or MRIs relevant to your injury or pain problem to your appointment.

  • Please bring any relevant doctors reports, scans, or MRIs to your appointment. Wear something you are comfortable in.

  • Yes, you can claim your private health benefits when you pay for your appointment. We process private health claims on the spot, through Tryo Healthpoint . Please bring your private health card to your appointment.

  • Initial appointments allow for up to 60 minutes so that we can spend time getting to know you, listen and learn about your injury and or pain problem, develop a plan for you to get better based around your goals and if necessary, provide hands on treatment. If necessary, we will schedule any follow up appointments. We also use exercise prescription software Physitrack. Physitrack is free for clients and can be used in a browser or downloaded as an app. After your appointment we will email you a link to your own personalised plan.

  • To change/cancel your appointment please email info@backbeachphysio.com.au or if you booked your appointment online follow the link on your booking confirmation.

    If you cancel or re-book your appointment with more than 12 hours’ notice, there is no charge to you. However, a few days’ notice would be great so that we can fill your spot.

    If you cancel or re-book your appointment with less than 12 hours’ notice you will be charged a cancellation fee.
